355/365 happy

We still have issues with the boys participating in family activities. They like to spend a lot of time in their room. We limit TV (1/2 an hour before bed) and they do not have gameboys or a computer in their room. They have to come out and join the family to do those things. We have made a lot of progress but we still have a long way to go. So when they join the family for an activity on their own it makes me happy.

  1. I love it when you share about the boys. The littles (and Bunny) are adorable, of course, but I do like to hear about what the boys are up to. My husband and I have considered adopting an older child and I know that it’s much more complicated than the three toddler/infant adoptions we’ve done. So, thank you for sharing. And, happy holidays!

  2. I agree with Neuromama. I love hearing about the boys, also. And I have no experience in this area, but was wondering if some of their issues relate to being twins/brothers, as well as perhaps, the older child adoption?

Regardless, I am happy to hear of the continued progress of their attachment into your family. You guys generally ROCK! 🙂

  3. I don’t share a lot about the boys because I worry that they might read my blog someday. I would never want them to feel bad or misunderstand what I wrote. I will say that it’s an interesting/hard combination the twin thing and being in an orphanage for most of their lives. Thanks for the love guys! It’s been a year of acceptance of the things we can change and letting go of the things we can’t.
